Portland is a gorgeous and unique place. It's a short drive to the ocean, high desert, powdery mountain, river, and of course, the scenic hikes and vistas of the Columbia River Gorge.

We're pleased to invite RailsConf 2020 (happening May 5-7) attendees to leave their laptop for a few hours and join the Planet Argon team on a hike to one of the most spectacular views of the gorge, Angel's Rest. We'll take care of everything: transportation, snacks, waters — all totally free! 

We hosted the original Argon Trail back in 2013 to give visitors the chance to enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and network with other RailsConf attendees outside of the convention hall.

Some things to note:

• Wear boots or sneakers that you don't mind getting dirty. We get a lot of rain in the Pacific Northwest!
• Wear comfortable clothes and dress in layers – including a waterproof outer layer if you have one.
• If you have a reusable water bottle, fill it and bring it to stay hydrated.
• The route will be physically challenging, but we won't leave anyone behind.
